Recently, we’ve noticed a number of people doing just that, and to “celebrate” this fresh start, new divorcees are booking themselves a great big holiday to mark the occasion.

While the idea of a divorce-moon might sound strange to some, it could be the perfect way for you to get away from it all, recharge your batteries and come back to your life refreshed and ready to face the world again. Here are our tips for booking the perfect post-separation holiday.

Go somewhere you’ve never been before

Forget about the holiday resorts you always used to go to together, this is your chance to visit a new destination; maybe a city you’ve had on your bucket list for a while, or a new country entirely.

It can be somewhere on the other side of the world, or a few hours’ flying time away, as long as you travel to a place that will make you happy, it doesn’t matter where you go!

Know what you want
